Position Overview:

We are looking for a qualified, dynamic, and motivated individual to join our academic team as a Lecturer in Cybersecurity. The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering high-quality instruction, contributing to curriculum development, conducting research, and mentoring students to prepare them for careers in cybersecurity and related fields.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver undergraduate and/or postgraduate courses in cybersecurity, covering areas such as modern programming languages, network security, ethical hacking, digital forensics, cryptography, and information assurance.
Design, update, and develop course materials, assignments, and assessments in line with academic and industry standards.
Supervise student projects, theses, and internships.
Conduct research and contribute to publications in recognized journals within the field of cybersecurity.
Participate actively in departmental meetings and academic planning.
Provide academic and career guidance to students.
Engage in professional outreach and collaborate with industry partners.
Stay informed about the latest advancements and trends in cybersecurity.

Qualifications and Experience:

Education:

Minimum: Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, or Computer Science with a specialization in cybersecurity.
Preferred: Ph.D. in Cybersecurity or any above.

Experience:

3 to 5 years of teaching experience at the university level.
Practical experience in the cybersecurity domain and/or relevant industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+) are highly desirable.

Skills:

In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity concepts, tools, and practices.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Ability to engage, motivate, and support students from diverse backgrounds.
A research-focused mindset with evidence of academic publications or ongoing scholarly work.
